Barça to Host First Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match versus the German side in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
